Sweet and Savoury Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients

steel cut oats (certified gluten-free if needed)
water
salt

Savoury
fried egg
avocado
kimchi
sesame oil
sesame seeds
shredded nori

Sweet
almond butter
banana
nut & seed mix
maple syrup
cacao nibs
cinnamon

Method

  1. Rinse steel cut oats and cook according to package directions. I use only water with a pinch of salt (instead of a mix of half water and half plant milk) as I always boil over the mix and throw off the ratios… using just water makes it mistake proof for me!
  2. Top with sweet or savoury toppings.
  3. Eat immediately or leave in the fridge overnight and enjoy hot or cold in the morning.
