Chocolate Tahini Nice Cream

Ingredients

2 medium to large bananas, frozen
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp tahini
pinch of salt

Toppings:
1 tbsp tahini
1/2 tbsp cacao nibs

Method

  1. Add frozen bananas, cacao powder, 1 tbsp tahini, and salt to a food processor or high speed blender.
  2. Blend ingredients until smooth. You will likely need to stop, scrape down the sides, and push the ingredients down a few times before it will start blending into a smooth, fluffy nice cream. Do not worry, it will come together.
  3. Transfer to a bowl and top with remaining tahini and cacao nibs. Enjoy immediately.

Notes:

  1. If desired, you can skip topping the nice cream with additional tahini, and add it straight into the food processor with the rest of the ingredients so that the flavour is still incorporated.
  2. A great substitute for cacao nibs are high quality mini chocolate chips, such as those from EnjoyLife. Be aware that using chocolate chips instead of cacao nibs will increase the sugar content of your nice cream.
